Jobs of the future? Reefab Project

In March our team from Art Square Lab participated in a creative residency and workshops in Bordeaux to design educational toolkits within the framework of the ReeFab project involving partners from France, Italy and Spain and Luxembourg.

ReeFab is a three-year ERASMUS+ funded project (2024-2026) led by Cap Sciences (FR) and involving various realities around FabLabs related to sustainability and future jobs for young people. ReeFab partners explore various topics to promote sustainability and innovation (materials, local and traditional know-how, textiles, water ecosystems) in order to build educational materials (Atlas, scenarios of sessions) to be used by FabLabs and Makerspaces in Europe.

The design of a ReeFab Atlas on the professions of tomorrow is now uder preparation.

The next steps will help us to test the prototypes of the materials : implement 4 local experiments in France, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy and 1 transnational event combined with youth mobility in Italy.

The objectives of the projects are :

1. Encourage young people’s initiative, active citizenship and peer-to-peer collaboration through Fab Lab activities
2. Demonstrate that action, Do It Yourself, is a way of combating eco-anxiety
3. Get young people concretely involved in local communities and discover the sectors of the future in relation to environmental challenges
4. Transforming Fab Labs into resource centers for the ecological transition aimed at young people

Art Square Lab brings its expertise in Design Thinking to the project and we are happy to collaborate with like-minded organisations from all over Europe.
